Having attended Paul Roos Gymnasium in Grade 8 and 9, he later moved to Parel Vallei in Grade 10 to be closer to home during his treatment. Despite the challenges he faced, Max consistently displayed extraordinary courage and gentle character. He met each day with determination, humility, and a spirit that inspired those around him.
Teachers and classmates remember him not only for his strength, but for his kindness, respectfulness, and the calm presence he brought into every space he entered. Even in difficult times, Max remained thoughtful toward others, offering smiles, encouragement, and a sense of hope that touched many lives.
